Math Counts

The Chapter MathCounts competition has been scheduled for Thursday, February 23, 2006.

MathCounts is a national math competition for 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade students, sponsored by NSPE and IES.  Currently, 17 Central Iowa area schools are sending teams to the competition. 

The first competition is at chapter level and we need your support to make the competition a success!  Sign-up sheets will circulated at the January monthly meeting.  Scorers are needed from 1:30pm to 4:30pm on the date of the competition. 

The competition will be held on the Drake campus at the Olmsted Center.  Please contact Chad Meyer at 243-4477 or put your name on one of the sign-up sheets if you wish to volunteer.

Committee Opportunities

Please consider volunteering on a committee.  Now is a good time to get involved.  Committees are just beginning to meet.  If you’d like more information on any committee, contact the committee chair or a board member.
